Hydrophis is pleased to announce our R&D team has successfully converted magnesium carbonate (MgCO3) into ultra-high purity MgO, achieving an impressive 99.3% purity level. Our marine-source magnesium carbonate made from desalination brine and waste CO2 was fired in a special-purpose kiln at 1700 degrees Celsius with a 3-hour hold.
X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis by an external laboratory has confirmed the exceptional quality of our MgO product:
- 99.3% MgO (periclase)
- 0.7% CaO
Our very high purity MgO is suitable for the most demanding applications in industries including:
- Technical ceramics
